About Me
My name is Eli Dean and I am a junior multimedia journalism major from Nixa, Missouri. I attend Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. I am a multi-talented journalist and my ideas and aspirations take me where I need to go.
I believe that the best journalist shares the information he or she finds in a non-biased way and presents the facts as they are, and I share those values with my colleagues every day when I enter the classroom we call a newsroom.
Work Experience
Wingspan
I started working for the Nixa High School newspaper as a sophomore and was placed in roles like the News & Sports Editor before becoming the Editor-in-Chief for the 2022-23 school year.
EagleAir TV
During my senior year, I took the opportunity to join the broadcast team and I was the co-anchor of EagleAir TV during my senior year.
Nixa Live
During my senior year, I was the official voice for the Nixa baseball team, which made it to my state's quarterfinal for the first time in 50 years. Being able to bring the community together with our live streams was something I will cherish in hopes of during future broadcasting work in the future.
The Bison
I am currently working for Harding University's newspaper The Bison and was the community editor during my freshman year of college and am currently the Sports Editor as a sophomore.
Harding Sports Network
During the 2024 Harding Baseball season, I worked with Harding Sports Network and did postgame interviews with players and coaches after wins. This was a great opportunity and will hopefully lead to more opportunities as I continue my college journalism career.

During the 2024 Harding Football season, I worked alongside many others to broadcast a pre-game show before every Bison home game, and worked alongside the play-by-play announcer Billy Morgan during games with tidbits from the sidelines.

2019-2023
Nixa High School
I attended Nixa High School in Nixa, Missouri. As a student, I'm very diligent with my time and respected by my peers for various reasons. I finished high school with a 3.9 GPA after four years.
2023-2027
Harding University
I am majoring in multimedia journalism with a minor in history at Harding University. I have won various awards for my work on HU16 as well as The Bison, with two years remaining for further growth.
